Bath Comedy Festival Programme Launches!

This year's full line-up is now online and on sale!

The printed programme is rolling off the press right now and over the next few days it will appear in most pubs, restaurants and cafés as well as the Bath Visitor Information Centre and Box Office in Abbey Churchyard.

WIth over 110 events, this year's programme boasts the biggest ever line-up!

Visit www.bathcomedy.com/whats-on to view the events and book tickets online.

You can read the printed programme online too at www.bathcomedy.com/printed-programme

Highlights of the Festival's core programme include the Opening Night Gala Cabaret at Bath Cricket Club, Fred MacAulay, Jess Robinson's Mighty Voice and Arthur Smith Sings Leonard Cohen (Vol II).

The flagship Wine Arts Trail event is back with a bigger and even more bizarre mystery tour on a big Routemaster bus with the fabulous Lorraine Chase reprising her role as clippie for the day, and Python and Festival Patron Terry Jones will be in town over Easter showing two of his films at the Little Theatre Cinema and giving a rare interview with author Jem Roberts.

The open programme this year includes a whole host of free entry stand-up shows at Bath Brew House, and a variety of different events at other venues around the city including The Rondo and Mission Theatres, and St James Wine Vaults, The Bell, Assembly Inn and Porter pubs as well as Komedia, plus two different comedy walks around the town.

'F' rating

Bath Comedy Festival has become the first 'F' Rated UK Comedy Festival

The world of stand-up comedy is traditionally and erroneously perceived to be dominated by male performers. However, this year's Bath Comedy Festival core programme includes at least one female act every day and in every multiple line-up, at least two female contestants in each heat of the New Act Competition, plus female compères and judges.

Our 'F' also stands for 'Funny'. There are many highly accomplished and very funny women out there, and by applying this rating system to our core programme, we aim to show that once and for all!

Kids' Comedy Fest

Bath Comedy Festival has joined forces with Jimmy Mc, from Bath's popular Saturday morning club for children Fezziwigs Fun Club, to produce a packed programme of Easter holiday fun guaranteed to keep the kids rolling in the aisles, with some mums and dads more than likely to be joining them.

There are two lunchtime shows a day at Bath Cricket Club during the week from Mon 30th March - Thursday 2nd April.

You can see all the kids' events here.

Come Dine With Me

Local Bath Promoter Sal Monello features on the latest Bath edition of Channel 4's Come Dine With Me, which airs tomorrow - Tuesday 3rd March at 4pm.

Sal's Comedy Festival show "Combe Down With Me" is at The Bath Brew House at 3pm on Sat 4th April, and promises to reveal what it's like to take part in the TV show - details here.
