Hello. You look nice today. But no time for that. This event will go ahead no matter what happens. Power outage? The wheel will spin. Sudden outbreak of witch trials? The wheel will spin. The wheel breaking? We'll come up with something. The unstoppable quiz with a wheel.

Wheely Wheely Wheely Wheely Wheely is the dumbest game show ever to grace a stage on God's Green Earth. There will be snorkels, pirate costumes, drawing donkeys and a glamorous assistant called Stuart.

Stephanie Laing and Paul Duncan McGarrity bring you a silly hour of silliness, with zero artistic merit, but a shockingly high volume of maltesers. This is an interactive show, so be prepared to get involved with some jousting, guess which donkey done a murder, and probably drown in the underwater round. Also, there's a big wheel with the rounds on it that Paul made, hence the name.

Stephanie ("gloriously silly, wonderfully unpretentious" - Broadway Baby) and Paul ("a very tall, funny, excited child" - Kate Copstick) decided to team up to write this show together because of their shared love of surreal comedy, games, shouting and maltesers.

George Orwell wrote an essay on the perfect pub. A fictitious pub called The Moon Under Water. With the help of the audience, James, as seen on "Ricky Gervais' Extras" and "Russell Howard's Good News", designs the perfect pub.

James grew up in a West Country pub, and has toured the world as a comedian, but now he has returned to his roots, pubs. 29 close per week and they need saving. Dowdeswell and his audience are just the people to do it.

It's the ultimate happy hour where you'll discover beer for dogs, why it was illegal to buy a round during the First World War and why girls taste better than boys.

Dowdeswell has appeared on numerous TV shows including Russell Howard's Good News (BBC) and Extras (BBC) where he played the Count in the David Bowie episode.

Zagreb, Maribor, Antwerp, Oslo, Hamburg, Osijek, Rijeka, Belgrade, Budapest, Bucharest, Jersey, Guernsey, Orkney, Dublin, San Francisco, Orlando, Victoria BC, Vancouver BC... Bath. Neil has visited a surprising number of strange and foreign cities and shores to do stand-up. Especially when you consider how little he earned in the process. Were they grateful? Not remotely.

But along the way he's picked up some stories, met some interesting people and seen some sights, usually an hour before his flight leaves - and fallen down a few holes. Always with a mild hangover from whichever heinous local firewater he imbibed after the gig. For more details, see below. Or even better, see the show. He doesn't bite, he generally deoderizes and his public nudity is rare, although extraordinary.

Zahra Barri - Talk Like An Egyptian

Venue: Bath Brew House
Doors: 2.30pm for 3.00pm show
Duration: 45min
Price: £5 or pay what you feel*

Zahra's a bit like the country of Turkey, in that she's a mix of Eastern and Western culture, and also she is a bird. A fun look into Eastern and Kanye Western Culture.

This show is about celebrating our differences and uniting our similarities with the Middle East. Many Westerners think Middle Eastern people are backward thinking. But that's only because they write from right to left, and not left to right. If the West or the East changed it, we would all be on the same page.

This is a 'silly' show about a 'serious' topic. In this current climate in particular, there has never before been more segregation between the West and The Middle East. 'Talk Like An Egyptian' highlights the importance of Integration, not Segregation whilst being 'very funny'.

The show contains canned laughter, an actual Pyramid of Giza, Zahra's Dad teaching her Arabic and the second most powerful Arab Woman In The World 2015 (Amal Clooney). Zahra should have got the woman who won the First Most Powerful Arab Woman In The World, but because she didn't marry George Clooney, she didn't know who she was.

As heard on BBC Radio 4 Extra and BBC Radio 2

The Incredible Joz Norris Locks Himself Inside His Own Show, Then Escapes, Against All The Odds.

Cult comedy idiot Joz Norris (Weirdos, ACMS, Comedians' Cinema Club, ITV, ITV2, Dave, Channel 4, E4, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 4 Extra) returns to Bath Comedy Festival with a brand new solo show of comedy, storytelling, nonsense, music, feelings, thoughts, and conceptual theatre musings.

This year he's become obsessed with the ouroboros, and with the Elephant Man. Seems to him that performing is a way of totally cutting yourself off from everybody around you by making sure they're all looking at you, and that seems unusual. So it's back to a bunch of formative stories about his mum and his dad and some herons and some sandwiches to try and make sense of how he got to this point. This is his fifth solo comedy show, which have played at comedy and arts festivals nationwide and internationally.

IlluminArchie* is the hilarious new show by living-legend, "super cool, super smart storyteller" (Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard) Award winning comedian, Archie Maddocks. In the past, he's been described as "poignant, inventive and razor-sharp" (Broadway Baby) and having "a corking, almost cinematic story" (Chortle).

Join Archie for his new show, which looks at, but is not limited to: how he wishes someone would take control of his life so he didn't have to, his hope that there's a secret society controlling his future, an accidentally racist girlfriend, a killer doughnut and an incident with a monkey.

*Facts about IlluminArchie -
1: When he was born, the nurse slapped herself and thanked him.
2: He can hear colours, orange pisses him off and don’t even start on purple.
3: He once farted with such power that it started the infamous East Anglian earthquake of 2007.
4: Darkness is afraid of him.
5: IlluminArchie doesn't walk, the Earth moves beneath him.

** None of these are true. This is why someone should take control of his life.

Neil imposes himself on the good and true denizens of Bath yet again, with what promises to be very much a work in progress, assuming there's been some. It's not an Edinburgh preview because after last year he can't afford to go back yet, plus there's the court order to think about.

So this show will be about whatever joyous and exciting new thoughts have crept into his troubled bonce during the wee hours in those long dark nights of the soul. Whatever they might prove to be. Who knows? As yet, he doesn't. Place your bets and come along to see if you're right.

Same deal as last year - and the year before; he will be saying stuff he thinks is funny and you can chuck some money in the bucket at the end if you agree with him. Pets welcome, but only if they're sedated.

Actually, it might be about trains.

A David and Goliath story. In July 2016, 70 year old David (Matt's Dad) was arrested for his choice of gardening. It all started five generations ago in 1860 with a feud that has dragged on and on and on.

This show is a true story about knowing when to let go and learning to dance like nobody is watching, even though they definitely are. Will feature a life coach, a pensioner and a skateboard.

"Fearlessly funny" **** The Scotsman

Matt Price is best known for being a storytelling comic, or as he calls it 'joke based interactive narrative'. His solo shows at Festivals in Edinburgh and Australia have been given numerous four and five star reviews and he plays comedy clubs with the same level of skill, as well as all over the world in every type of venue imaginable - his travels have taken him to Eastern and Central Europe, Australia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Scandinavia, Malta, Turkey and South East Asia.

CANCELLED

We're sorry to report that due to extended commitments abroad, Sarah has regretfully had to cancel her shows in Bath.

A brand new hour of charming stand-up, comic storytelling and characters by the Melbourne-born, London-based comedian.

As well as playing comedy clubs in London, Ireland, Wales and Scotland, Sarah has appeared on BBC Radio 4 and 6 Music, plus hosted her own long-running radio show on Dalston's NTS Radio 'Sarah Bennetto's Mix-Tape', as well as at her cult favourite annual live radio show from backstage at Glastonbury Festival for WorthyFM. Sarah is the brains behind Storytellers’ Club, which tours internationally, and guests regularly on bonkers podcasts and panel shows in the UK and Australia.

Sarah Bennetto’s past solo comedy shows for Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide, Perth Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival include: a sitcom about office temping, the true story of having lunch with Prince Charles at the Palace, a hour-long ode to boardgames and Victorian parlour games, a study of her insanely good luck (she’s won a car, holidays, the lottery), staging her own funeral live, and more recently: every mistake she’s ever made, presented in list form. This will be a new hour of jokes in preparation for the upcoming 2018 Edinburgh Fringe. It will be called something like "The United Colours of Bennetto" or "We're All Definitely Gonna Die, So Let's Bloody Do It". Something like that. You get the picture.

"Self-depreciating, dark, honest and genuinely funny. One of the most enjoyable and original shows I’ve seen this year. It had me laughing out loud more times than I could count. A solid hours of laughs, it culminates in a truly epic finale." ****1/2 The Advertiser newspaper, Adelaide

"A sophisticated mix of stand-up and character comedy, Bennetto succeeds in harnessing the full power of an instinctive comedic mind." **** Fest magazine, Edinburgh

"Bennetto delivers effervescent, confident and well-structured stand-up. Her tales of outrageous fortune are suffused with urbanity and wisdom, and buoyed by a lightly rendered sense of nostalgia" **** The Age, Melbourne

Two of the South West's most exciting new voices take an irreverent look at how you measure maturity and success when the numbers are not in your favour.

Tony Chiotti is jaded, but deservedly so. His first reaction to becoming middle age is to ask, "you mean I have to do this again?!" He's just up and moved to the UK, which is exciting and all, but he's awfully far along to be starting over.

Sarah Breese is a proper grown-up and everything, on paper. In this show she attempts to prove herself, to herself, before failing and realising she hasn't brought any form of ID.

"Fall off your bar-stool funny!" ***** says Barry from some pub in London.
"Uplifting" ***** echoes Barry's mate as he clambers back onto his.

But don't take their word for it...

Can you really fit in when you're 6'7” or 204cm above ground?

What if you go through life speaking your mind in places you shouldn't?

This comedy giant is no stranger to putting his big-foot in things.

After his debut tour in Australia, Michael Hackett brings the critically acclaimed (by Barry of course…!) Giantology show to Bath Comedy Festival.

His aim? To rip apart the status quo.
Playing with the audience, he'll weave you into his story. He'll pull you into his surreal world. Taking you on weird journeys, he'll have you laughing, maybe crying. One thing's for sure, you'll soon see life differently through Michael's bird's eye view!

So quit the small talk and come see this giant of a man and giant of a show - an hilarious and unique spectacle.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?" In his mid 30s Luca managed to narrow the possible answers down to a few options: Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church, Legionnaire in the French Foreign Legion, expert Japanese sword-smith, lecturer in Latin and a call center operator. Eventually, only one of those exciting career paths became true.

In this brand new show, the Italian who was too funny for his own country describes the lives he never had.

A natural storyteller, Luca is ready to entertain you with his gentle, endearing dark humour. There will also be room for improvisation and audience interaction.

Winner of So You Think You're Funny (2015), Luca appeared at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal (2016) and has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival since 2014. He has gigged across Europe (Netherlands, Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Switzerland) and since 2018 he is a regular guest on the Italian TV show Zelig Time.  Luca also recently featured on The Arts Hour Tour (BBC World Service) later this month.

Funny Women Regional Finalist and badly-behaved mother of two, Louise should probably be delousing her kids instead of gallivanting off to Bath to appear in a festival. Nonetheless, here she is.

When she's not removing parasites from her children, Louise somehow finds time to turn in "an impressive performance" (John Hegley) featuring the vagaries of parenting, navigating the choppy seas of middle age and how to shave your legs like you're in an advert. She'll make you laugh until soup comes out of your nose. (If you were already eating soup. If soup comes out of your nose when you haven't been eating soup, you should probably see someone about that, okay?)

Hugely relatable, Louise is “charming, funny and with a natural rapport with the audience.”

Star of Live At The Apollo is a terrible description of him, but if you're the kind of person that likes watching a grown man have a nervous breakdown while he tries to figure out the world, himself, the end of all civilisation and brand new jokes, then this is definitely the show for you. He's bound to be in tears 20 minutes in. It'll be hilarious.

The Idiot is Michael's first show since his highly-rated, sell out Jerk in 2017 and that show nearly killed him, so this one will surely see him off. Come along and say goodbye.

When Charlie Partridge was a kid, he dreamt of making stupid noises for a living. He was told it couldn't be done... they were right.

Mostly he can be seen bringing his special brand of idiocy to events for the likes of New Scientist, Vice, The Moth, Google, Facebook, Fosters, Bulmers and Red Bull. He has performed in LA, New York, Paris and Preston and has called more bingo shows than reasonable. Also seen/heard on BBC Three, Radio 4 and 6Music.

More recently he has fallen into writing immersive theatre treasure hunt experiences for people so wealthy they have run out of things to do, but pay him to bury their treasure so they can find it again. For real.

And when he's not doing that he is trying to cut it as a beatboxer, starting at the tender age of 33. He's better than you think.

You know what it's like. You were sort of friends when you were young, and then sometime in the 90s, you're both at Uni and you bond over your love of The West Wing, walking and talking your way down life's own Pennsylvania Avenue, the best of friends, until you inevitably fall out over a girl.

So, it's years later, and there's been lives and careers and wives and babies, and attempts at babies, and a hundred things in between. You could decide it's not worth the time, let the past be the past and just think, "What's next?". Or you could ask yourself, what would Aaron Sorkin do?

A play about friendship, life, the terrifying feeling of trying to make sense of it all and how a simple, seemingly insignificant action, can have an effect that reverberates throughout time.

"Hello! My name is Edd Hedges, I'm a comedian and I do storytelling style comedy shows, I've done two before and they both went pretty well. I was invited to do a run at the prestigious SOHO Theatre (fancy) and I got to go to and perform in Australia.

I'm going back to the Fringe with my third hour. It's another story, but this one is a bit different. This show is about a lot of things. It's hard to explain but ultimately it's about two people. A 74 year old man in Essex sitting in his garden in 1999 and a 24 year old, standing on a beach on the other side of the planet in 2018. This show is about 1 second. 1 tiny second where these two people, separated in every imaginable way, were joined together for a moment.

It's going to be funny and good and I really want you to see it."

"Edd Hedges is a joy to watch" - The Scotsman

"It's not often you are left stunned at the end of a Fringe show...funny, complex and dark" ***** The Fountain

Phil Nichol - Too Much

Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner Phil Nichol's brand new show follows an incredible two-year run with his last show 'Your Wrong' that played at the last two Edinburgh Festivals and toured across the UK, Europe, SE Asia, Canada and New Zealand this year..

'Too Much' follows the rollercoaster ride of Phil's hilarious relationship with the modern world. And what a confounding, hilarious and messed up world it is. It's too much.

The planet is messed up, society has devolved, mankind is hopeless, vegans are right, you aren't supposed to punch facists, the left are self-righteous morons, everyone is a selfish prick, Phil's a bleeding hypocrite. It's all too much. Too much.

Ask yourself this, what kind of person ends up-

- Naked on The Weakest Link?
- Taking two 75 year olds to Glastonbury?
- Arrested for quoting Derek and Clive on a Virgin Train?
- High on Ecstasy in the back of a police car in Lancaster?
- Surviving a Rocket attack in Kandahar, Afghanistan?
- With his nose broken by a Royal Marine in Thailand?
- Listening to his 90 year old mom tell him how madly in love with his father she is?
Phil Nichol. That's who.

'Too Much' takes an unflinching look at aging, recognition, mental health, values, norms, patience, love, everything and conkers. Expect riotously uncomfortable anecdotes and oversharing delivered in Nichol's unique live-wire style.

WINNER - Scotsman Fringe First Award 2011
WINNER - IF.COM Eddie Award 2006 (previously The Perrier, now known as the Edinburgh Comedy Award)
WINNER - Time Out Best Comedy Performer 1998
