CANCELLED

We're sorry to report that due to extended commitments abroad, Sarah has regretfully had to cancel her shows in Bath.

A brand new hour of charming stand-up, comic storytelling and characters by the Melbourne-born, London-based comedian.

As well as playing comedy clubs in London, Ireland, Wales and Scotland, Sarah has appeared on BBC Radio 4 and 6 Music, plus hosted her own long-running radio show on Dalston's NTS Radio 'Sarah Bennetto's Mix-Tape', as well as at her cult favourite annual live radio show from backstage at Glastonbury Festival for WorthyFM. Sarah is the brains behind Storytellers’ Club, which tours internationally, and guests regularly on bonkers podcasts and panel shows in the UK and Australia.

Sarah Bennetto’s past solo comedy shows for Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide, Perth Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival include: a sitcom about office temping, the true story of having lunch with Prince Charles at the Palace, a hour-long ode to boardgames and Victorian parlour games, a study of her insanely good luck (she’s won a car, holidays, the lottery), staging her own funeral live, and more recently: every mistake she’s ever made, presented in list form. This will be a new hour of jokes in preparation for the upcoming 2018 Edinburgh Fringe. It will be called something like "The United Colours of Bennetto" or "We're All Definitely Gonna Die, So Let's Bloody Do It". Something like that. You get the picture.

"Self-depreciating, dark, honest and genuinely funny. One of the most enjoyable and original shows I’ve seen this year. It had me laughing out loud more times than I could count. A solid hours of laughs, it culminates in a truly epic finale." ****1/2 The Advertiser newspaper, Adelaide

"A sophisticated mix of stand-up and character comedy, Bennetto succeeds in harnessing the full power of an instinctive comedic mind." **** Fest magazine, Edinburgh

"Bennetto delivers effervescent, confident and well-structured stand-up. Her tales of outrageous fortune are suffused with urbanity and wisdom, and buoyed by a lightly rendered sense of nostalgia" **** The Age, Melbourne

Two of the South West's most exciting new voices take an irreverent look at how you measure maturity and success when the numbers are not in your favour.

Tony Chiotti is jaded, but deservedly so. His first reaction to becoming middle age is to ask, "you mean I have to do this again?!" He's just up and moved to the UK, which is exciting and all, but he's awfully far along to be starting over.

Sarah Breese is a proper grown-up and everything, on paper. In this show she attempts to prove herself, to herself, before failing and realising she hasn't brought any form of ID.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?" In his mid 30s Luca managed to narrow the possible answers down to a few options: Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church, Legionnaire in the French Foreign Legion, expert Japanese sword-smith, lecturer in Latin and a call center operator. A natural storyteller, Luca is ready to entertain you with his gentle, endearing dark humour. There will also be room for improvisation and audience interaction.

If soup comes out of your nose when you haven't been eating soup, you should probably see someone about that, okay?)

Hugely relatable, Louise is “charming, funny and with a natural rapport with the audience.”

All proceeds from this show will go to buying special shampoo and the sachets that get rid of the itchy bum worms.

For 2 years as a child, George Rigden (Leicester Mercury Comedian of the year nominee 2017) was friends with Uri Geller. This is the bizarre but true story of that friendship.

A true story about friendship, autographs and cutlery.

Funny Women Regional Finalist and badly-behaved mother of two, Louise should probably be delousing her kids instead of gallivanting off to Bath to appear in a festival. Nonetheless, here she is.

Michael Legge, the shouty one from Do The Right Thing, is putting together brand new material for a brand new stand-up comedy show.

Star of Live At The Apollo is a terrible description of him, but if you're the kind of person that likes watching a grown man have a nervous breakdown while he tries to figure out the world, himself, the end of all civilisation and brand new jokes, then this is definitely the show for you. He's bound to be in tears 20 minutes in. It'll be hilarious.

The Idiot is Michael's first show since his highly-rated, sell out Jerk in 2017 and that show nearly killed him, so this one will surely see him off. Come along and say goodbye.

When Charlie Partridge was a kid, he dreamt of making stupid noises for a living. He was told it couldn't be done... they were right.

Mostly he can be seen bringing his special brand of idiocy to events for the likes of New Scientist, Vice, The Moth, Google, Facebook, Fosters, Bulmers and Red Bull. He has performed in LA, New York, Paris and Preston and has called more bingo shows than reasonable. Also seen/heard on BBC Three, Radio 4 and 6Music.

More recently he has fallen into writing immersive theatre treasure hunt experiences for people so wealthy they have run out of things to do, but pay him to bury their treasure so they can find it again. For real.

And when he's not doing that he is trying to cut it as a beatboxer, starting at the tender age of 33. He's better than you think.

However, what is life, if nothing but a distraction until you die? Archie Maddocks tackles the struggles of being alive in his latest hour of provocative, exhilarating and *crucially* HILARIOUS stand up.

On August 14, 2018, Robyn Perkins (4 Stars, Voice Magazine) participated in a dating show in front of a live audience.  Her experience led to her exploring human morality and the social constructs of present day dating, with a scientific twist.

Robyn is known for her “confident, charming and relatable personality” (Edinburgh Festivals), which allows her to delve into complex and uncomfortable territory. How do social constructs change how we date? What is the role of morality in attraction? These questions are explored as she shares the story of the most uncomfortable moment she has ever had on stage.

"A unique twist on your average stand-up hour" **** EdFest Magazine

"Highly recommend" **** Fringe Biscuit

"Robyn Perkins blends science, comedy and a little hint of philosophy into an excellent show" **** Scots Reviewer

An hour of standup and ramblings from Tony Chiotti, a cranky Yank who's recently docked in Bristol. Observations on boat life, stories from his checkered past, and basically, all his favorite (favourite?) bits strung together into one meandering harbour tour of a life unmoored.

I mean we could go on with talk of a theme or a point, but it's jokes, innit. (Is that how you use 'innit'?) It's all his best jokes, in rapid succession. A man's life work, presented humbly and without intermission. Take a punt.

You know what it's like. You were sort of friends when you were young, and then sometime in the 90s, you're both at Uni and you bond over your love of The West Wing, walking and talking your way down life's own Pennsylvania Avenue, the best of friends, until you inevitably fall out over a girl.

So, it's years later, and there's been lives and careers and wives and babies, and attempts at babies, and a hundred things in between. You could decide it's not worth the time, let the past be the past and just think, "What's next?". Or you could ask yourself, what would Aaron Sorkin do?

A play about friendship, life, the terrifying feeling of trying to make sense of it all and how a simple, seemingly insignificant action, can have an effect that reverberates throughout time.

"Hello! My name is Edd Hedges, I'm a comedian and I do storytelling style comedy shows, I've done two before and they both went pretty well. I was invited to do a run at the prestigious SOHO Theatre (fancy) and I got to go to and perform in Australia.

I'm going back to the Fringe with my third hour. It's another story, but this one is a bit different. This show is about a lot of things. It's hard to explain but ultimately it's about two people. A 74 year old man in Essex sitting in his garden in 1999 and a 24 year old, standing on a beach on the other side of the planet in 2018. This show is about 1 second. 1 tiny second where these two people, separated in every imaginable way, were joined together for a moment.

It's going to be funny and good and I really want you to see it."

"Edd Hedges is a joy to watch" - The Scotsman

"It's not often you are left stunned at the end of a Fringe show...funny, complex and dark" ***** The Fountain

"You'll be thinking about Hedges for the rest of the run!" ***** The Student Newspaper

Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner Phil Nichol's brand new show follows an incredible two-year run with his last show 'Your Wrong' that played at the last two Edinburgh Festivals and toured across the UK, Europe, SE Asia, Canada and New Zealand this year..

'Too Much' follows the rollercoaster ride of Phil's hilarious relationship with the modern world. And what a confounding, hilarious and messed up world it is. It's too much.

The planet is messed up, society has devolved, mankind is hopeless, vegans are right, you aren't supposed to punch facists, the left are self-righteous morons, everyone is a selfish prick, Phil's a bleeding hypocrite. It's all too much. Too much.

Ask yourself this, what kind of person ends up-

- Naked on The Weakest Link?
- Taking two 75 year olds to Glastonbury?
- Arrested for quoting Derek and Clive on a Virgin Train?
- High on Ecstasy in the back of a police car in Lancaster?
- Surviving a Rocket attack in Kandahar, Afghanistan?
- With his nose broken by a Royal Marine in Thailand?
- Listening to his 90 year old mom tell him how madly in love with his father she is?
Phil Nichol. That's who.

'Too Much' takes an unflinching look at aging, recognition, mental health, values, norms, patience, love, everything and conkers. Expect riotously uncomfortable anecdotes and oversharing delivered in Nichol's unique live-wire style.

WINNER - Scotsman Fringe First Award 2011
WINNER - IF.COM Eddie Award 2006 (previously The Perrier, now known as the Edinburgh Comedy Award)

Best tried on her next door neighbour's coat and heels when she was 5, then drank half a pint of milk from a wine glass in the conservatory. Spiritually, she is still there.

After a sell out run at last year's fringe, she's back with a kaleidoscopic look at the parts we play and the scripts we follow. A firework of a show from a walking Quentin Blake illustration.

What to expect from a Chris Arnold show? Well, a healthy dollop of silliness, a big old dose of self-deprecation and a sprinkling of interpretive dance. Ultimately, it's Chris sharing his own unique way of looking at the confusing world in which we currently inhabit through his weapon of choice - Microsoft PowerPoint.

As a performer, Chris has appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe, Glastonbury, Ibiza Rocks, Bestival, Boomtown Fair and The British Musical Comedy Awards and performed shows in countries such as Germany, Australia and Indonesia. In March 2019, he embarked on a 14-date headline tour around the UK with his hour-long powerpoint comedy show, which included multiple sell out shows.

He wrote, hosted and directed The Cool Beans Television Show which was nominated for a British Comedy Award alongside such stalwarts as Horrible Histories and Harry & Paul.  He also regularly presents for BBC Radio Bristol and appears in BBC Sesh short comedy clips, as well as regularly performing hosting events and DJing around the country. Previously he was a presenter on Made in Bristol TV and he also recently appeared on the BBC's flagship Inside Out show, giving presenter Seb Choudhury a hand with his very first stand-up comedy set.

Off the back of her successful 2019 Edinburgh 'Crusade' run, Esther is bringing her work in progress for her second Edinburgh show.

Esther's first show tackled the racism of the alt right and sexism of religious extremists. Now she wants to look closer at the stereotypes of the Arab and Muslim man. How has the middle east and sexism been united into one stereotype? This doesn't match what she saw in the Arab Muslim men in her family...so where have these stereotypes come from? Is there truth in them? Esther just can't see that the Middle East and religion equals sexism...she reminisces over her upbringing in the 90's...is Britain truly guilt free when it comes to sexism? It makes her want to scream "If you are a sexist then you ain't no Muslim and you ain't geeza bruv!"

“Esther Manito: Lebanese British woman, wife, mother, incredible comedian” ****1/2 Edfest Magazine

"Ms Manito is a confident comic with a likeability factor which can do her no harm. Her stage presence and delivery enhance her well written material and it is easy to see why she is doing so well, both nationally and internationally" ****One4Review

The show that was going to be about feminism, but is now going to be about her dog.

As seen on BBC3, All4, Comedy Central and ITV2, Lily asks you to join her on her journey from cheerleader, to feminist, to dog lover. Female comedians are often criticised for just talking about their Vaginas, which is offensive, but in Lily's case 100% true and now she has a dog, who has one too.

Smut covers all the trials and tribulations that come with being a female human and a female dog. Like turning 30 only to discover that apparently your vagina gets bigger with age rather than usage, how to deal with your dogs cystitis, and what happens when your boyfriend has to help you birth your own menstrual cup... they are still together now by the way, if anything, it has brought them closer. No animals were harmed in the process FYI.

Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year 3rd Place, Komedia New Act FINALIST, Funny Women FINALIST, Max Turner FIANLIST and Pleasance Reserve Comedian 2019 Lily is so excited to be bringing her unique brand of comedy to the masses.

Spaniel-in-human-form, Louise Leigh is a "polished, sparky performer able to energise a room...hilarious" (****The Wee Review) and "super mature at home, buoyant in the field" (Dogcrunch.com). But can she navigate the undergrowth of midlife without tripping over her spaniel's ears? And can she still be adorable at 48?

"Louise Leigh is one of the most original and promising new acts to come out of the South West Comedy scene... Consistently funny and unafraid to experiment...Highly recommended" - Wil Hodgson

"Great confidence, great performance, great jokes!" Gary Delaney

Since finally starting the career in comedy she had been putting off since she was seventeen, Louise has been making more and more people laugh, mostly in the West of the UK. This is her second hour-long show and it's mostly about what happens when you give yourself permission to be an idiot, when you're supposed to be growing up. It's a love letter to her inner spaniel...and to actual spaniels.

If you like laughing, dogs, laughing at dogs (never do this, they look sad) and mucking about, you'll have a great time with Louise.

Audience reviews of Louise:
"Great night out! Hilarious, haven't laughed so much in ages"
"This woman is the comedian I never knew I needed! Proper funny, proper refreshing, proper job"
"Hilarious, touching, moving, laugh-out-loud-therapy-for-the-soul. Lou's carefully observed humour balances kind with cutting and takes reflective introspection and turns it into energetic, crazy, joyful playful performance. Go see her!"

He's spent the first 20 years of his life running from problems and people pleasing, but now some earth shattering news has finally forced him to face everything head on...

In this, his fourth solo show, Andrew takes a look at all the things that go unsaid in a society that more and more values openness and sharing.

How important was coming out as gay? What do parents know about their children's personal lives? And is it sometimes healthier to not address all of your issues?

Through personal stories, some unexpected one-liners and even loop-pedal based observational comedy, this show will bear all. A hilarious and honest hour all about sex, family, and confrontation.

Fresh from a sell-out run at The New Zealand International Comedy Festival, BBC and Comedy Store regular Alistair Barrie previews his new Edinburgh show. As the father of a son, how does one man explain to another man how men work?

After sold out runs of his last show 'The InternationAl' in Melbourne, Edinburgh and the 2019 New Zealand Comedy Festival, Alistair Barrie returned to the UK, where his wife gave birth to their second child, a son.

Meanwhile, another man baby was in The White House, Britain would soon install his mini-me in Downing Street, and 'strong men' were in charge of governments across the globe.

Alistair did not pay too much attention as his life was a blur of nappies, laundry and snot, conducted in an atmosphere of exhaustion and marital tension threatening to break out into open hostility at any moment.

His two year old-daughter was already furious to discover the world didn't revolve around her, a realisation which had been bothering Alistair for decades. As the year progressed, he also began to wonder how he could teach his son what it was to be a man in a world ruled by men. The result is Manstrong, the guide to parenting that Dr Spock never got around to writing, as Alistair attempts to explain everything to his son, his daughter, and most of all, himself.

Alistair Barrie is a frequent guest on BBC Scotland's 'Breaking the News, Radio 4's 'Broadcasting House' and Radio 5 Live's 'Question Time Extra Time'. A regular with The Comedy Store's weekly topical show 'The Edge', he has headlined shows in over forty countries and twice been nominated for best show at The Edinburgh Fringe.

"Harun Musho'd is an Arabic name. Good news is I can't drive. Bad news is I have a rucksack. If you don't like that joke, don't come to this show."

The reasons Harun Musho'd doesn’t talk to people about terrorism include: prejudice and stereotyping, complex family background, two near-misses as a victim of terrorism, and the obvious fact that he doesn't identify as a terrorist. The show isn't just about terrorism, but encompasses politics more widely and some exploration of his complex background, and bonkers family.

A show about yoga and empathy. Or lack of it.

I know many of us roll our eyes when people send social media 'hugs', but there probably aren't quite so many who push fingers onto drawing pins in pockets so they can conjure up the required face-work during tearful farewells.

This is me. And I'm getting worse. I recently sat through a friend's tale of a painful break-up and the best suggestion I could offer was 'make that half as long, ditch the boring bit about his feet...beef up the ending, maybe throw in an abortion'.

It's clearly time for self-improvement, and in INFLEXIBLE I chart the drip-drip-drip depletion of my empathy, and my subsequent attempts to reconnect with a better me through the wonders of Yoga...the 20 year old Sally, the one who had all the time in the world for joy-sapping wallowers.
