Frome-based James Hollingsworth is an acclaimed songwriter and multi-instrumentalist performing several times a week up and down the country. His songs are refreshingly inventive and accessible, rooted in acoustic Folk-Blues as well as Prog Rock, by turns tranquil then soaring with hypnotic groove munching guitar space freak-outs - plus glorious songwriting within.
With a superb and passionate singing voice, and a mean harmonica style to boot, guitar-slinger James Hollingsworth has been serving up Folk-Blues and acoustic Prog at venues in the South West and beyond for nearly 20 years as a professional musician.
James Hollingsworth has a unique, complex acoustic guitar style, reminiscent of Andalusian guitar as well as modern rock, he's been described as an acrobat of the guitar with the powerful voice of an angel. Known as an inspired solo singer/songwriter/guitarist (and 'mean' harmonica player), his intense gigging schedule has included billing in the Independent's 5 Best gigs.
