THIS EVENT IS IN THE PAST - SEE CURRENT EVENTS

The Bath Comedy Festival New Act Competition sees over 100 of the best up-and-coming comics in the UK compete for the title of Bath Comedy Festival New Act Of The Year, and associated prizes.

There are twelve heats running throughout the Festival at Bath Cider House and The Hop Pole, judged by established figures from the world of comedy, and compered by a different professional comedian each night.

Tonight's compere is Michael Hackett - he trained as a dentist, attended French clown school and joined the circus. After a trapeze accident broke his left testicle, however, he finally picked up the mic.

The Hop Pole, 7 Albion Buildings, Upper Bristol Road, Bath, BA1 3AR

The Grand Final will be held, for the first time ever, at the prestigious Bath Forum's glorious main house - on Friday 14th April - details coming shortly!

* Book in advance to guarantee a seat, or free entry and pay what you feel on exiting the venue.
