The Bath Comedy Festival New Act Competition sees around 100 of the best up-and-coming comics in the UK compete for the title of Bath Comedy Festival New Act Of The Year, and associated prizes.
There are nine heats running throughout the Festival at Nowhere - a fabulous bar and regular Bath Comedy Club venue, judged by established figures from the world of comedy, and compered by a different professional comedian each night.
Tonight's compere is Alan Francis - incomparable observational comedian, star of stage and screen (and 1991 'So You Think You're Funny' winner!)

The winner of each heat plus three wild cards will take part in the Grand Final which will be held, for the third year running, at the splendid Old Theatre Royal main house - on Sunday 19th April.
