A super Sunday Lunch at Woods, the city’s favourite classic restaurant with post-prandial comedy, magic and chat presided over by Bath’s very own doyenne of the cultural scene, Lady Margaret.
Those facing Lady Margaret’s probing questions and delivering scintillating entertainment of the highest calibre on this occasion include international street and stage magician Billy Kidd, his Uber-Grumpiness Arthur Smith and that beau gentilhomme extraordinaire, Marcel Lucont.
Lady Margaret had her own series on BBC Radio 4 and famously led the Queen’s Jubilee procession down The Mall. The hat that launched a thousand ships (and fetes, flower shows, festivals and envelope openings).
Marcel Lucont: flaneur, raconteur , bon viveur (and every other francocism) has toured the world with his dry wit, bawdy chansons and exquisitely sexy poems…and also won the 2013 Fringe World Award for Best Comedy. Chortle Character Act Award Nominee 2015.
Billy Kidd: This Canadian magician is not only a familiar face on the streets of Bath, stunning locals and tourists alike with her amazing sleight of hand, but is also a featured regular on such hit TV shows as Wizard Wars with Penn and Teller.
Arthur Smith: Grumpy Old Man, comic, writer, Leonard Cohen impersonator, star of the One Show, collector of button boxes and now, he claims, principle male dancer at the Royal Ballet.
Please note approximate timings: Doors open at 12 noon. Lunch served from 12.45pm. Show at 2.30pm.
